There are 2 nickel-plated cooking grids with handles for two-level cooking and a porcelainized, 5.5 quart water pan. There are also heat-resistant wooden side and hood handles as well as sliding access doors for checking and adding to the water and wood chip levels. Features a built-in temperature gauge, and flavor channels to direct smoke for maximum food flavoring and add structural strength to the smoker. There is a removable thermostat control with low, medium and high settings. When used as a grill, a reflector pan directs heat to the cooking surface. The heavy-duty reinforced steel legs add extra strength and durability and the UL-listed, 1650 watt heating element plugs into standard household outlets. This smoker converts to an electric Lock & Go grill.

1st one lasted 20 years and i used it at least 120 times on 6-8lb shoulders and ribs. I did have to order new drip pan and an element sometime but 20 years is still good. I love only having to drop wood chunks on the heating element for smoke and no coal taste either. Best BBQ and ribs in Tennessee. And the easyness just makes it crazy.

I set up the product and tried to cook a couple of briskets. The setting was for "hot" and i left the smoker for about 30 minutes and came back to check on it. The smoker was going well but it was reading "warm" so i checked everything and reset the heat knob for "hot". I left it alone for about an hour and checked on it again....it was still indicating "warm". I moved the briskets to my regular pit and finished cooking them there. I will go back to the instructions, reread them and try again in the near future.

Electric gives it easy use and great versatility.
Can do fish with heavy cold smoke all the way up to high heat for pork. Manufacturing and packaging could be improved a little. This new one arrived with several areas of porcelan knocked off the water pan.
