Made a 14lb turkey last night. Was a little worried that the motor would burn out but 4 hours of grilling worked. A few times the spit would work its way out off the rolling ring so I had to keep an eye on that.

Instruction does not inform purchaser that the so called "knock out notch" removal from the hood can not be removed with hammer and screw driver. Must use saw ie, dremel saw to remove notch. Also if notches do not properly align with spit holder - then significant cuts may be required in hood. Although chargriller ads imply it should fit the super pro grill by simply knocking out the hood notch, this return is considered purchaser preference therefore purchaser must pay for return.

Q2: Does the spit work with the smoker box on the side?
A: We do not recommend cooking with a spit on the smoker box. The smoker box is intended for indirect heat.
