First of all, this grill looks great with it's traditional barrel design and smokestack. It burns charcoal efficiently and puts out a lot of heat. Coal height can be adjusted while you're cooking and regulates temperature very well. Great for large cuts of meat, racks, whole fish and chicken, roasts, etc. The cast iron removable 4-part grill plates are great cooking surfaces. On the maiden voyage I cooked many racks of ribs - when I placed them on the warming rack they dripped down the back of the lid onto my deck as well as out the bottom of the grill. The built-in grease catcher was worthless and did not catch any of the other grease that eventually leaked out the bottom of the grill and side vent - very messy. I had stalagmites of grease congealed on my deck. There is also not a very big lip on grilling surface which allows suicidal cylindrical meat products to easily roll over the edge. This grill needs way better engineering to make it perfect. The wheels are cheap plastic and the construction and materials are a little less durable than I expected. I'm generally happy with it, but I am interested to see how long both my enthusiasm and grill will last.

People this is an investment for many years to come.When we start cooking on here you don't want to stop.We cooked 5spare ribs 6steaks and 12pieces of chicken and it was still going i also invested in the veggie basket so we cut up some veggies and cooked those more family stopped by and put on some pizza.Guys dont let this pass you by.We did mothers day dinner on it i even cook through the week.If you love to grill trust me this is your baby,and clean up is a snap.
