I bought this as a Christmas gift for my son who has an older Genesis 1000 series gas grill. He's been looking for this for a couple of years. I'm so happy I found it through your company. My son will be so happy and thank you!

This product is well-made and the perfect size. For some reason, though, my husband thought it would be a good idea to "hurry up" the smoking by placing it directly on top of a hot plate, which was placed inside the kettle, rather than using charcoal, since he had other items to grill that were not to be smoked. It did not fair well, obviously, since it is NOT cast iron or otherwise intended to be place on direct heat. Lesson learned (hopefully)...
