I found the base of the cooker to be very sturdy and stable. This is a good thing when you are working with 4 1/2 gallons of 250 degree peanut oil! I loved the cleanup afterwards with the stainless steel finish. It took about 30 minutes to get the oil up to temperature and another 30 minutes to get my 16 pound turkey up to 151 degrees. Fried turkey beats baked turkey hands down. If I could brine the turkey faster I would have it more frequently. Its a great cooker when used in conjunction with a turkey derrick! Definitely "Good Eats"!

I haven't tried it out yet but it looks to be good quality. The shipping was fast and no problems except when I took the cooker out of the package it was dented. Not sure what to do about it yet. I plan on contacting GrillsDirect to see how they will handle the damaged goods. Will let you know how it goes.

product arrrived quickly (2 days ahead of the ETA actually). Although I haven't yet used the fryer the construction of the pot, strainer basket, and stand look to be very well built. The finish of the stand is a bit rough; not poor, just not polished like the pot.
