I specified a gift card in this shipment as it was going to my son and his wife as a Christmas present. There was no card or any indication as to whom it was from. Not good!
If I hadn't tracked the shipment/delivery I would have assumed all was well. Only a follow-up phone call from me allowed my son and his wife to know it was a Christmas present from dear old Dad.
I will think long and hard before using Hayneedle for future gift giving.

I cooked my 13 lb turkey on a slightly windy day just outside my garage, It cooked 2 hours, looked beautiful, even thermometer read it was done, however was not. It was raw near the bone. I guess no more windy day cooking in it for me. Will do a roasting chicken soon !!

I had a turkey (13 lbs) that was gorgeous on the outside, but undercooked after nearly 3 hours. This takes practice I guess.

I received the fryer a few days after ordering.. I (woman) put legs and handles on with no problem.. I wasn't sure about the gas hookup so I called a male friend.. Tested it using an 8 lb roasting hen...I have fried turkeys in oil many times and the result was great - however the mess was great also. This hen turned out every bit as good and maybe even better than the turkeys I have fried. No Mess... I sprayed the basked with pam before putting the hen in it.. so any residual from the hen washed right off. I am having 25 for Thanksgiving and this was the reason for my purchase... it will be a great companion to the oven. ... easy to use - no temperature adjustment..
